Most Skill Labs include a countdown timer visible in the top-right corner of the lab screen. Here's how time limits work and what to do if you need more time.
How does the lab timer work?
The timer counts down from the lab's allotted time. When 3 minutes remain, you will be prompted to extend your session in 15-minute increments. You can continue extending as needed for as long as necessary.
What if I need more time than the extensions allow?
If you need additional time beyond the standard extension options, contact your instructor or the Skill Labs support team. For accessibility-related accommodations, see Article 6: Accessibility and Extended Time Options.
How is my lab scored?
Labs are scored based on the number of challenge questions answered correctly and the number of attempts it took to get the right answer.
- Answering all challenge questions correctly on the first attempt results in a perfect score.
- Each incorrect answer will result in a deduction from your score.
Note: Repeating the lab and answering all challenges carefully is the best way to recover your score if you made errors on a previous attempt.
